Dog vs Cat Adventures

In our new house, Ruby can hear cats mewing outside. This drives her nuts. She paces the floors and does her little whimper (she doesn't bark) and begs to be let out.

I'd let her if they were the big nasty stray cats she's there to help keep away, but these are kittens. Not a fair match.

It amuses me though to see her look out the window, trying to find the cats, and whimpering. She's so annoyed when she can't go chase them!

We got new doggy tonight.

She is ours on a foster basis for now until we decide. The girls are getting on well so far (they look eerily similar). Stella/Starla (if we keep her) has some habits we're not wild about (barking at visitors? Oh no. Will not do!) and seems nervous, but she's also been in the house all of about an hour too! So we're giving it time.

Pat is apprehensive... but he always is ;-) He's also a sucker for animals ;-)

It feels like a good idea to have her here.
