and perhaps I should get more OUTRAGED about stuff but...

*yawn*

Am I the only one who is just really not getting the BFD about Jamie-Lynn Spears being all insperminated? Beyond the intial "NO WAY!" that is. I mean really. I just can't get all worked up that someone with a lot of money who doesn't have a rep as a party girl like certain other people to whom she is related is going to have a baby. And this is coming from someone who pretty firmly believes it is in a pregnant teen's best interest to have an abortion, provided she can be convinced to come to that conclusion on her own. (So yeah I guess I am one of those supposedly non-existent pro-abortion people in some cases).

I mean sure it would be better were she older I suppose but... eh. There are starving kids in Africa, someone's going to be beaten to death tonight, there are people freezing in the streets in many parts of this world and well, yk, this just really doesn't seem like level A tragedy for me. I heard something on the radio about her dad saying she ruined her life. Please. There's a lot worse things that can happen to a wealthy 16 year old than getting knocked up. I am sure she'll live.

Apparently it was on CNN this morning. There was a poll that was like, "Who's at fault? Jamie-Lynn, her mom, or hollywood?" Um, maybe her father, the guy who got her pregnant, or society in general? Hollywood teens aren't the only ones who get pregnant, and why blame it on the women?
