furniture recs?

I'm furniture shopping for new apt.
I like cheap. Cheap is good.
I LOVE Ikea stuff. But... How do I put this... I am so burnt out on it and sick of it. But I like the following qualities: light and minimal.

Anyone have ideas for where I can shop? I hate hate hate super heavy bulky furniture.
Yes I am scavenging.

Oh yeah, in other news? Husband is all happy and open minded about Ruby. He has gone from dog hater to being totally willing to try it out. I know my husband... and with this dog's temperment, they're gonna get on great.

see you are so smart. I have never been there before. There's the right idea. I can't do my whole house new just yet, but we agree there's two places we can't compromise: a bed and sofa-bed, both of which must be new. Everything else can be garage sale joys :-D
