My husband and I have found a mutual activity we both enjoy.
Golf.
I played exactly once when I was 17 or so I think. I know how, I just... never did. So he likes to play, even if he's not so hot at it. We came out here where there's a community golf course. We have discovered that if I had more arm strength...
I'd be an effing good golfer! I mean, not like, Tiger Woods or something. But damn respectable.
And we're about the same level.
I also shoot more accurately than him (however, he can shoot further).
We plan to play this often.

Date: 2008-05-13 11:01 pm (UTC)I haven't played golf since 7th grade when some rich kid tried to pick me up by taking me to his country club ;-)
I have some guy friends who are totally into it. It is cool that you are playing and with Pat; I think American men have decided it is a Boys' Club and it is No Girls Allowed.

Date: 2008-05-14 01:28 pm (UTC)I was ripping on my dad this weekend for his golf habit. Mostly jokingly - like I do things that are bad for the environment too - but I really do believe that in 10-20 years, golfing will have a stigma similar to driving a Hummer or wearing fur.
