Who wants a pit bull and amstaff?

So, a few days ago I wrote this girl on Craigslist who is trying to rehome a pitbull and american staffordshire terrier.

So I write her because we want to add to our dog pack eventually, and plan to do so once we move, which might be September, might be December, depending. The girl tells me the dogs are basically super sweet nice dogs, well trained, don't bark for no reason, that sort of thing. Difficulty? She's in Ontario.
As if there weren't enough reasons to bag on Ontario already:
Bill 132 basically says you cannot own a pit bull. And to be even more blunt, it says they cannot exist in Ontario period. Owners who had their dogs prior to the ban are grandfathered, provided these dogs were registered licensed spayed etc etc. You can't even drive through Ontario with your bullies if say you're going to visit grandma in Manitoba or something. Seriously. Limited bullies are allowed in for dog shows with certification etc.
All puppies are to be given away outside of Ontario immediately. No pits may be rehomed within Ontario. So, this gal above? She cannot rehome these dogs within Ontario. Anywhere in Ontario. (Legally, anyway.)
Any pit bull dog given to a shelter in Ontario is put to sleep. Period.
The law does not target only pit bulls. American Staffordshire Terriers, and even regular Staffordshire terriers, the miniature little 35pounders? Yup them too. And if your dog so much as looks like a pit and you get turned in, you best have a vet confirm it is not a pit or off to the gas chamber your puppy goes.
Hence, rehoming bullies is very difficult. The shelters (which she has called) are full anyway since it is Dump a Dog season in Montreal, and like there are not enough pits and pit mixes in shelters to begin with. :-/
However, the simple fact is these two sweet doggies are gonna go to the Rainbow Bridge via the express route if someone doesn't step up.
If I had ONE more room in my apartment I would do it but I do not have the space right now. However, I know there are lots of dog lovers here and people who know dog lovers. So come on people, let's save some puppies! :-D You can write her directly at: badclown1@hotmail.com
