parade vs divers/cite

Is it wrong that I read this article, rolled my eyes, and thought "typical Montreal fag drama."

I still don't get why they don't simply coordinate efforts, having one group run the parade, one group doing whatever divers/cite does, and yk, not talk to each other except to say "this date X, this date Y."

And why is Montreal the only city in the world where we can't seem to get our shit together enough to hold a Pride week AND a parade at the same time? Same thing with the Out Games/ Gay Games... why is our queer community so... (wait for it...) SEPARATIST?!

Yeah, I went there.

Nothing wrong with calling it what it is. It really *does* seem totally separatist. How ridiculous is that!?!

I'm not gay but I *am* disappointed in all of this.
