You know what's sad? I spent today cursing the closed streets downtown for pedestrians. You see, as a child, I was told to WALK ON THE GODDAMN SIDEWALK. I have been told by lefty friends that I am bad for this, and the car is a blight on urban planning. I have long suspected that this is BULLSHIT and long before cars, horses and such owned the big part of the road and the peds got the SIDEWALKS... lo and behold, today, I HAVE VIDEO PROOF! :-D MWAHAHAHA! Note, bicycles used the road then as well, so they may stay.

Yeah so instead of being all "whoa, cool, 1904 man!" I was "AHA! I KNEW pedestrians were not the road kings before the cars! :-P"
