I love my dog
Nov. 14th, 2008 10:53 pmTonight we went out for Miss Ruby's evening constitutional. It's wet here, although rather warm, and the fall leaves are quite slick on the wet pavement. Especially when matted down from cars and walking and such.
This led to me plotzing flat on my left ankle, knee, and hip. It was also so slick I had immense difficulty getting myself up (the large beach ball shaped baby on my front probably does not help this endeavour either).
My wonderful puppy immediately stopped, came to kiss me, nudged me to help me up, and sat right beside me to guard me while I (slowly) became more upright. Good thing too, as it was while I was coming out of an alley and between two cars. Someone could have easily pulled in and not been able to see me.
Marvelous doggy :-)
I am quite bruised from the spectacle, but none the worse for wear. Sure glad she was there though.
Random Off Topic (for you facebookers): How did Lauren Conrad keep the weight off? I'll tell you how; she's 22 freaking years old, never had a kid, and is blessed with good genes. It's not rocket science, people.
