OMG DON'T EAT THE LUNCH MEAT!
Nov. 29th, 2008 08:48 pmand god forbid you have a beer once a week or so, and for the love of Christ you are a negligent bitch if you ingest sushi, no matter where you live or your culture, but hey...
Melamine is totally cool.
Okay.
Whatever.
This is not even a breastfeeding issue btw which a lot of people are (sadly, IMHO) making it into. The government should be trusted to provide safe formula for any baby who needs it. And um, this makes me go "wtf?" in light of their "well we can't figure out a safe level of alchol" (actually, rather a lie too, and it's much higher than commonly taught*) "so therefore the recommendation is ZERO" policy. I mean wtf?
Poor kids.
*The Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists conducted a study of over 400,000 women, all of whom had consumed alcohol during pregnancy. No case of fetal alcohol syndrome occurred and no adverse effects on children were found when consumption was under 8.5 drinks per week. Wilkie, S. Global overview of drinking recommendations and guidelines. AIM Digest (Supplement), June, 1997, 2-4, p. 4
