I think my favourite part is Chipeur trying to cover ass for Day.
In an interview, Mr. Chipeur played down the importance of the offer, saying he never discussed the matter with Mr. Day or other MPs, and was simply getting ready in the event of a minority government.
“I was preparing for what might happen,” Mr. Chipeur said.
Yeah because yk, lawyers draft agreements like that just for shits and giggles.
I also love how people are pretending this is a leak. My ass. Come on Gilles, admit you handed it over. We all totally know you did it! Good move my friend, good move!
(I have to admit, as an aside, the idea of Joe Clark and Gilles Duceppe running the country together, even if with that douche Day, makes me all gooey inside in a happy way! Sort of like the idea of seeing Queen and Placebo at the same concert.)
