A bunch of men arguing about the legal versus societal definition of rape and whether or not it's technically right to say someone wasn't raped if the person forcing unwanted sex on them was mentally retarded since according to the criminal code this means the person isn't responsible for their actions. Including use of the word feminazi.

I like that guy simply because he is against the group-think of the community. I dont see whats wrong with the thread though, he was simply making a side point about the proper use of the words in the context and everyone got all upset. I have been there before.

I think he's looking at it from a legalistic perspective, and not acknowledging women were raped. Legally raped is different from rape rape, as Whoopi would say. Whether or not someone is convinced of a crime has nothing to with whether or not it actually happened. Getting all pedantic and claiming a word can ONLY be used in a legal context when we're talking about women getting raped sucks. I mean there's times to be a dick and make a point and really, that's not one of them.

I disagree. I think you're just mad that someone is nitpicking over an issue youre sensative over, which is fine, but you cant be in favour of less moderation and then say "howcome he didnt get moderated when he was rude over a topic thats close to me"

Just to be clear, this is not at ALL actually about RAPE. Its about someone being nitpicky. The RAPE angle is actually COMPLETELY IRRELEVANT.

Oh no I don't think he should ACTUALLY be moderated for it, gosh no. I just think if you're GOING to moderate, that might be a place to do it. I'm more pissy about "feminazi" than being a pedantic twat actually. But the main point is no one can say "you're a tool" because according to mods that's not respectful. *rolleyes*.
